One of the first versions of this desk can still be seen by visitors to Juhl’s Charlottenlund home, which is now part of the Ordrupgaard Museum. When Finn Juhl established his first studio at the exclusive address of 33 Nyhavn in central Copenhagen in 1945, he designed a very simple desk with burnished steel legs, which came to shape his furniture design during the 1950s. When Finn Juhl moved his studio to 38 Sølvgade in 1957, these same tables were still used. Finn Juhl designed a wide range of furniture with frames of steel pipes. This drawer cabinet with three colored trays hang like a floating, separate element under the light steel construction of the Nyhavn table in order to reach "visual lightness". The cabinet was designed in 1953 as an addition to the Nyhavn Table from 1945 and had previously been produced by the firm BOVIRKE. The drawer cabinet is now relaunched by ONECOLLECTION.
